1. Lowering of phone's screen brightness
the brightness of your screen is a very good idea, because it will help reduce your battery drain.
Do you know that increasing the brightness of your screen drains your battery ? Yes because, it tap current from your battery. So to reduce the rate at which your battery drains while playing Pokémon Go, reduce your screen brightness but in a way that you can still be able to access the game.
As we all know Pokémon Go is a kind of game that you play leaving the screen of your phone on.
2. Turn off Bluetooth and Wifi
A process whereby you have your Bluetooth or WiFi turned On, they will contribute in draining your battery, reason is because it will be active searching for other available Bluetooth devices to pair with or WiFi hotspot to connect to and by so doing it drains your battery.
3. Kill phone's volume
You might also be surprised that sounds also contributes to the drainage of phone battery while playing Pokémon Go.

Now to reduce the rate at which your data plan easily gets exhausted on time, it is advisable that you restrict some background running apps like WhatsApp, twitter, Facebook, Instagram, uc browser and so on.....
This apps are notification enabled, and so to notify you about a message sent to you it tap from your data.
You might need steps on how to restrict background running apps
1. Goto settings
2. Data usage
3. Select the sim you have data plan on
4. You will see list off all your apps below
5. Click them one after the other, scroll down you will see restrict app background data ==>restrict it and you are done for that particular app move to another and repeat same process that's all
NOTE: don't restrict Pokémon Go app because Pokémon Go uses your location which needs data to power it up. So don't restrict for Pokémon Go.
